The Aqua Computer reservoir was to be placed into the front of the case. I first wanted to fix it by screwing it into the 5.25 bay bezels but they were not strong enough to support the weight of it. I decided to build a proper support using the orange perspex. I had to form it with a heat gun and by the time I had finished, I had obtained a support that fitted well into two drives bays.
There still were two free bays that will be used to integrate a Pioneer slot load DVD drive and an LIS² VFD screen that could control the 2 watercooling fans plus two other case fans.
Off with the bezel and on with the rusty paint.
Sorted. Now to do the same to the VFD
Out of the box, the VFD display was red - obviously that needed changing to keep to my orange theme, so I changed the filter with one I made using the same orange perspex as before.
I\'d say that works quite nicely.
Here is the overall effect.
